sneaker room, jersey city

After having lunch in Jersey City today at Marco & Pepe at 289 Grove Street (http://www.marcoandpepe.com/), I stopped by a really cool sneaker store on Brunswick Street. It's a really unusual store located on a quiet, residential street that specializes in limited edition and exclusive sneakers, and vintage sneakers...all the stuff that you won't find in a regular store or in a mall. I met the owner, who was great and had a real passion for sneakers! So next time you are in Jersey City, stop by and check it out. It is located at 203 Brunswick Street, 201.386.0501. Boys and Girls Club of Hoboken

Yesterday was the annual Christmas celebration at the Hoboken Boys and Girls Club. Santa was there to give out gifts as well as many volunteer "Santa helpers". This club is a non-profit organization located at 123 Jefferson Street in Hoboken. They offer after school activities for children of all ages as well as provide a place for young people to join that offers an alternative to some of the negative influences that effect the young today. The Hoboken Rotary raised money for some of the Christmas gifts for this party and helped out with some of the festivities. But you don't have to be a member of the Rotary to volunteer.
