Park Avenue Bar & Grill, Union City

We had a delicious meal last night at a new place in Union City called Park Avenue Bar & Grill. Too bad it was so cold outside because it would have been great to sit upstairs on the rooftop and look at the NYC skyline. This restaurant had 3 different menu's, one for the bar, one for the lounge and one for the dining room. The food was modern American mixed with a Latin influence. Sometimes its nice to get out of Hoboken and try something different and a big plus is that they offer "valet" parking. The exact location is 3417 Park Avenue, 201.617.7274.

Hoboken International Film Festival

Visited City Hall today and heard Mayor Roberts (& Danny Aiello) speak about the upcoming Hoboken Film Festival. The dates are from June 1st to June 7th. There will be a free movie scheduled for opening night on June 1st at 8:30pm at Pier A Park, Frank Sinatra Drive and 1st Street. The movie is Polycarp.

The Lexington (groundbreaking), Hoboken

JDA Group celebrated their plans for new luxury rentals today with a groundbreaking ceremony at 7th & Adams Street in Hoboken. It was a fun ceremony which opened with a colonial-era horseman who alerted everyone that "the rentals are coming!".
The two-building complex will include 42 two bedroom/two bath units and 6 one bedroom units. These units will feature granite counters, stainless steel appliances, hardwood floors and washers/dryers in every unit. One of the really special aspects of this complex will be the 10,000 sq ft common garden which will be situated between the two buildings.
Expected completion is next year.

Hoboken Arts & Music Festival 2007

Beautiful weather for todays arts and music festival. From sushi shaped pillows to delicious crab cake sandwiches, this annual Hoboken festival really offers a great assortment of shopping, food and activities. They expect about 50,000 people to attend. Seems like this number gets bigger each year with more people as well as more vendors and artists. Hope you attended and had a chance to enjoy this wonderful event. In case you didn't attend, attached are a few of my photo's taken today.
