Stopped by the Hoboken Historical Museum today to check out their current exhibit featuring
Hoboken in the 1970's. I even bought the book "From another time, Hoboken in the 1970's", which I look forward to seeing all the different photographs taking during this period. This exhibit opened on January 21st and will go thru July 1st. If you are interested in the history of how this community reemerged over the last 30 plus years, this book & exhibit are worth exploring, as well as attending some of the lectures planned for February.
The February lectures at the museum will feature the following:
Sunday,
February 11th at 4pm: Martin A.Bierbaum, PhD., will discuss his doctoral thesis, Hoboken - A Comeback City: A Study of Urban Revitalization in the 1970's.
Sunday,
February 25th at 4pm: Joseph Barry (President of Applied Housing Associates during the 1970's) will talk about his company's role in the rehabilitation of Hoboken's housing stock.
Museum hours:
Tues - Thurs 2-9pm
Sat & Sun 12-5pm
